When you feel nervous about stepping outside of your comfort zone, remind yourself: "It feels scary because it is unfamiliar, not because I'm incapable."

As a dyslexic and neurodivergent counselor, Alicia understands the importance of a welcoming and safe space to be your most genuine self. For that reason, she makes it a priority to meet clients where they need to be met and develops that sense of safety. She views individuals as experts on themselves and believes in working collaboratively with clients to address each client’s unique needs in a way that is congruent with the lives they live. She view counseling through a skills based lens and enjoys helping clients learn the skills needed to address their mental health needs outside of sessions.

Alicia is trained in EMDR and utilizes Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques, and Somatic therapy techniques most frequently. She is also confident with other evidence-based approaches to tailor to client’s needs.

Alicia offers individual therapy for adults and specializes in treating depression, trauma, anxiety, life transitions, bipolar, and grief. She is a culturally inclusive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and neurodivergent affirming counselor.
