Ana believes that healing is a collaborative endeavor guided by authentic connection. The therapeutic relationship requires honest caring without judgment, and Ana cooperatively assists her clients in clarifying their goals for treatment through diverse approaches. Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and issues, Ana draws from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation. Ana is trained in EMDR, Gottman Couples Therapy, and DBT.  As a therapist, Ana is warm, open, encouraging, and direct.

Ana considers herself an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling.  Ana was born in Medellin, Colombia and raised in northern New Jersey. Although English has become her primary spoken language, she is fluent in her native Spanish language.

She graduated with a B.A. in psychology from Otterbein University in 2015. Ana received her Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine in 2019. She specializes in working with families from her work as a school-based therapist.
